Dr. Camarata specializes in arthritic joint replacement and revision joint replacement surgery, and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons.  He has been practicing orthopedics since 1995.

Dr. Camarata received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University (B.A. in Theology) in 1990.  He graduated with honors from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1994 and completed his orthopedic surgery residency in 1999 from the State University of New York – Syracuse under the direction of Dr. David G. Murray.

Dr. Camarata was selected as the Arthroplasty Fellow at the New Mexico Center for Joint Replacement from 1999-2000 under the direction of Dr. Richard E. White Jr.  Dr. White is considered one of the leading joint replacement surgeons in the country.  During this year Dr. Camarata performed over 600 joint replacements including many complicated revision procedures.  He also completed a number of research projects and has presented these projects at many meetings including the annual meeting of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

Dr. Camarata’s surgical interests include arthritic joint replacement and revision joint replacement surgery, minimally invasive joint replacements, trauma surgery, and arthroscopy.  He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and Orthopedic Surgeons Network of Arizona.
