
Dr. Bruns has been practicing orthopedics since 1985. He completed most
of his undergraduate work at The United States Air Force Academy in
Colorado Springs. He then attended medical school at the University of
Arizona, Tucson. He finished his orthopedic residency at the
University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City and became board certified with
the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons in 1991.
Dr Bruns is an active member of the Arizona Medical Society, Arizona
Orthopaedic Society, American Medical Association, American Academy of
Orthopaedic Surgeons, Maricopa County Medical Society and Orthopedic
Surgeons network of Arizona. Dr. Bruns has served as the chairman of
the department of surgery at John C. Lincoln hospital from 1996-2000.
He was honored as one of Phoenix magazines “TOP DOCs”. He has been
the team physician for Cactus Shadow High School and is currently the
team physician for North Canyon High School. Dr. Bruns is married with
three active children and enjoys playing golf, snow skiing and
coaching his children’s sports. Dr Bruns has interests in Total
joint replacement, trauma and sports medicine.
